NOW OPEN - KEEPING IN TOUCH BY COLINE MAROTTA

‘Keeping in Touch’, a solo exhibition by Coline Marotta (b.1991) is now open at Brigade. The exhibition features a series of paintings in a palette partly composed of dark night blues, celestial yellows, limey greens, blushy reds. Marotta’s gentle expressionist works depict a mood of tranquility, comfort and reconciliation. Her dreamy characters are long limbered, found in an act of embracing or reaching out, while filling out the cramped spaces of the canvases, adding a sense of intimacy and reflection. Marotta is currently living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark. She finished her MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017 and has since had exhibitions at V1 (Copenhagen), Mine Project (Hong Kong) The Tennis Elbow (NYC) and Public Gallery (London). The exhibition remains on view until 22 December.
