The gallery is thrilled to announce an upcoming solo exhibition with Copenhagen-based artist Coline Marotta (b. 1991, France).
Firmly grounded in both modern and contemporary traditions of figurative painting, Marotta’s dynamic and softly radiant compositions often explore the aesthetics of communication.
Drawing inspiration from various philosophies of language, traditional mythology and the experience of digital technologies, Marotta employs a practiced knowledge of colour and tone to create affecting images of human expression and understanding.
Opening on 18 November 2021, Marotta will present a new series of paintings that explore how objects and gestures are made to signify, how intimacy is fostered and communicated, and how atmospheres can be visualized and recorded.
