Petra Cortright I Solo Exhibition

Upcoming
Brigade is happy to present Petra Cortright's solo exhibition 'Denali F1 Batwing Baby Bear Baby Boo'. The exhibition will open at Brigade on 12 August from 5-8 pm and is Cortright's second with the gallery.
Cortright's core practice is the creation and distribution of digital and physical images using consumer or corporate software, printed onto archival surfaces, projected onto existing architecture, or mechanically carved from stone.
A notable member of what was known as the 'Post-Internet'/'Post-Google' art movement of the mid-to-late-2000s, Cortright first gained recognition through her YouTube videos and online exhibitions, before adding her distinctive, laboriously crafted digital paintings to her practice.
For the artist's second solo exhibition at Brigade, the gallery will present works in a variety of media from across the artist's interdisciplinary practise, including digital works printed on anodized aluminum, Belgian linen and glossy paper.
Petra Cortright (Santa Barbara, CA, 1986) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She studied Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design, The New School, New York, NY (2008), and at the California College of the Arts, San Francisco, CA (2004).
